Divan Turkish cuisine: Authentic Flavors of Turkey in Sarasota

We had a wonderful experience at this Turkish restaurant! The food was incredibly authentic—truly a taste of Turkey. The Iskender was hands down the best I’ve had in the U.S.—rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The Adana Kebab was also outstanding, full of bold spices and grilled to perfection. Highly recommend for anyone craving genuine Turkish cuisine!

Absolutely delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be returning. The hummus is hands down the best in the area and the pita is perfect. We enjoyed tea and Turkish coffee, the chicken skewer and Doner as well as baklava. Can’t say enough good things about how tasty the food is here! Great service as well!

Delicious authentic food made right. Even though reservations are required, the kind wait staff served us an outstanding meal! Loved the three cold dips on the fresh made pita bread. All the entrees we tried were excellent. Baklava was so good to top it all off!

First time, and what an excellent lunch. The food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing. This is a must try restaurant if you love Turkish or Middle Eastern food in general. Everything, and I mean everything, was perfect. I would say I am a bit of a snob when it comes to Babaganoush, and wow, this did not disappoint. Please, please, please, if you have not tried this restaurant, do it... you will be happy you did.

A nice addition to the restaurant scene in the Gulf Gate area. Food is great and likewise the service. My daughter raved about it and it's the best food she has eaten in Sarasota so far. My family went here for my Father's Day celebration and I thoroughly enjoyed my lamb chops. The grilled Octopus was done just right. No food allergy reaction for my daughters which is always a big deal. Wished the beer selection was broader, but the great food more than made up for that.

The food is delicious, the service is quick and friendly. Great place for the tasty, authentic, healthy meal.

1) you’ll want reservations - 2) prepare for culinary impact - all the apps are wonderful - baba gnoush ,etc.- I had the grilled octopus (fork tender perfection !) & side of orzo, caesar salad;ask for extra anchovies! - great wines by the glass - baklava & coffee will make your meal - attentive staff & food comes out promptly -

We were told by several friends about this place and finally decided to check it out. Loved it! The food taste great, good selection. Very friendly! Our waitress Xenia was a terrific host!! Definitely coming back and recommending to our friends!
